Feed the Birds!
Winter's snow cover presents a challenge for birds to find food. Do you have a feeding station for the birds that visit your yard? If not, you can create one very easily. Just cut a hole in the side of a well washed empty milk carton and fill it with seeds. Bend a coat hanger into a hook and hang the carton to a tree limb by its handle. The birds that visit me like sunflower seeds especially, but there are lots of other things you can serve them. Try spreading peanut butter on a stale bagel or donut half and then covering the peanut butter with seeds. Tie a ribbon through the hole and hang it on a tree. We also have lots of bird guides to identify your diners. Bon appetit!
